Restoring an Object Storage Repository to Disk

To restore an object storage repository backup to a file server, use the restore object to disk operation.

ACLs, metadata, and symbolic links are not restored when you perform a restore to disk.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Object storage.

    The Object storage page appears.

  2. In the Object storage table, right-click the object storage repository that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Backup content page appears.

  3. Select the backups to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  4. On the Restore to Disk tab, specify the following information:

    • Destination server: Enter the path to the client to restore the repository to.

    • Destination path: Enter the full path to restore the repository to.

    • No of streams: Enter the number of streams to use for the restore.

    • Destination path: Enter the full path to restore the repository to.

    • Unconditionally overwrite if it already exists: To delete and overwrite existing data, select the check box.

    • Preserve Source Paths: The Preserve or Remove options determine how many levels of parent folders are created for restored files.

  5. Click Restore.
