Restoring Site Collections for SharePoint Server

You can perform offline mining of site collections.

Important

When you restore a site collection, always restore the data one level higher in the destination. Otherwise, the restore might fail. For example, restore a site collection to a web application.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Kubernetes > Applications.

  2. Click SharePoint.

    The SharePoint page appears.

  3. Click the database server.

    The database server page appears.

  4. Click Offline browse.

    The Offline browse dialog box appears.

  5. In the SQL instance box, enter the name of the SQL instance that has the content database attached.

  6. In the Content database box, enter the name of the content database that you want to mine.

  7. Click View content.

    The Offline content dialog box appears.

  8. Select the site collections that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Offline data restore dialog box appears.

  9. Complete the following steps to restore the documents:

    1. Select Site collection.

    2. Browse to specify the destination path on the SharePoint server.

    3. Click Restore.
