Restoring YugabyteDB Cluster

You can restore the YugabyteDB cluster, namespace and tables to a same or different cluster instance.

Restore the Cluster

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

   The Big data page appears.

2. Click YugabyteDB, and then click the cluster instance.

   The cluster page appears.

3. In the row form the cluster, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content page appears.

4. If you want to restore the namespaces or tables of the cluster, complete the following:

   1. Select namespaces or tables as per requirement, and then click restore.

      The Restore options dialog box appears.

   2. From the Destination Cluster list, select the same cluster instance for in-place or a different cluster instance for out of place cluster restore.

      For out of place restores, verify the following:

      • If encryption at rest is enabled on the source cluster, from the KMS Configuration list, select the KMS configuration on the destination cluster which is similar to the active KMS configuration on the source cluster. If encryption at rest is not enabled on the source cluster, do not select any configuration from the KMS Configuration list.

   3. In Database details section, you can change the destination database name to restore it as a different entity.

   4. To perform a table level restore, in the Table details section, you can modify the namespace name to restore the table to a new namespace.

   5. In No of streams, enter the number of streams to use for the restore.

   6. Click Restore.
