Review estimated backup storage costs for discovered Google Cloud resources. Adjust retention and growth assumptions to model projected storage usage and costs over time.
Prerequisites
Configure at least one connection that can discover resources in your Google Cloud account.
Review cost estimates (Commvault SaaS only)
Use cost estimates to understand how storage consumption and costs change over time based on your current configuration.
To view the cost estimates dashboard, follow these steps:

Go to Discover > Google Cloud.

On the Overview tab, click View cost estimate.

Click Month 1 to review near-term monthly cost estimates.

Click Year 1 to review long-term storage growth and annual cost projections.
Use filters to narrow estimates by connection, workload type, resource type, region, or project.
Adjust cost estimation settings
Modify retention and growth assumptions to simulate different protection strategies and evaluate their impact on storage and cost.

Click the Edit icon.

Modify retention settings, annual growth rate, and daily change rate for each workload.
