You can backup a database group by running full and incremental backups.

For an incremental Full Instance Xtrabackup operation, select the Data check box to back up data along with the logs.

The Size of application value shown in a completed job’s details represents the amount of data that MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) sends to the backup system after the backup phase finishes. This value reflects the size of the MEB-generated backup files, which might already include compression performed by MEB. It does not indicate the actual physical size of the MySQL database or its data files on disk.
