Scheduling Planned Failovers and Test Boots

After you create a failover group, you can edit the group to add schedules for planned failovers or test boots.

Before You Begin

VMware tools must be installed on the source VMs before replicating the VMs:

To perform failover, test boot, and failback operations for the VMware destination sites.
To perform failover and failback operations for the VMware Cloud Director destination sites.

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Secure > Auto recovery > Failover groups.
In the Name column, click a failover group.

The failover group page appears.
For VMware and VMware Cloud Director destinations: To create a recurring schedule for planned failovers, on the Overview tab, in the Planned failover schedules section, click the Add schedule button .
For Hyper-V and VMware destinations: To create a recurring schedule for test boots of the VMs in the DR site, on the Overview tab, in the Test boot schedules section, click the Add schedule button .
