Selecting a Specific Secondary Node for Backups for MongoDB

You can choose any of the secondary nodes to perform backups of MongoDB replica sets and sharded cluster deployments.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

   The Big data page appears.

2. Click MongoDB.

3. In the Name column, click the cluster that you want to modify.

   The cluster page appears.

4. On the Nodes tab, do the following:

   1. Click the check box for the secondary node that you want to use for backups.

   2. Click Set as data access node.
