Stubbing Reports on Jobs

Stubbing reports are generated as CSV files on the access node or machine where the stubbing job runs. The report files are then made directly available for download from the Command Center. You can access the stubbing report files against every completed archiving job from the Job History page.

Prerequisites

  • Stubbing reports are downloadable only for jobs with status Completed or Completed with Errors.

  • To download stubbing reports the user must have Download permission at the Client level and Job Management permission at the Global level. For more information see, Managing Roles.

Considerations

  • Reports are generated on the access node in the job results folder: <commvault install directory>/iDataAgent/jobResults/2/0/<jobID>.

  • Reports under 2GB are downloaded as .out files. Reports over 2GB are compressed as .7z compressed folders.

  • If report size is under 2 GB, it is downloaded as: Stubbing_Report_<JobID>.out

    If report size exceeds 2GB, it is downloaded as: Stubbing_Report_<JobID>.7z

  • The downloaded files contain stubbing results in the following format:

    • For stubbing jobs in the Completed status: File:[Path], Action:[Status], Size: [File size], ModificationTime: [File modification time stamp]

    • For stubbing jobs in the Completed with Errors status: File:[Path], Action:[Status], Size: [File size], Reason: [Reason for error], ModificationTime: [File modification time stamp]

  • Reports are pruned along with job results after each cycle. A retention key can be configured to keep the reports for longer.
