Updating Commvault Software on Multiple Servers

You can install the most recent Commvault feature release and updates on multiple servers from the Servers listing page.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure > Servers.

    The Servers page appears.

  2. Select the check boxes next to the names of the servers you want to upgrade.

  3. Click Upgrade software.

    The Confirm software upgrade dialog box appears.

  4. To configure the reboot settings, select one of the following:

    • Do not reboot: This option will not reboot the server after the software upgrade.

    • Reboot if required: This option will reboot the server only if necessary after the software upgrade.

    • Always reboot: This option will always reboot the server after the software upgrade.

  5. To run database maintenance tasks like checking the database for errors and reindexing the database, select Run database maintenance (includes checkdb and reindexall) check box.

  6. To install any diagnostic updates available in the cache, select Install Diagnostic Updates present in cache (if applicable) check box.

  7. To receive an email notification when the upgrade is complete, select Notify user on job completion check box.

  8. Click Yes.
