Use VMware Aria Automation for VMware vSphere protection operations

After you configure the integration, users can perform data protection operations directly from the Aria Automation portal.

Provision VMs with protection

1. Deploy a VM using a configured template.

2. Select a backup plan, VM group, and project.

3. Complete the deployment.

Run backups

1. In the Aria Automation portal, open a deployment.

2. Select a VM.

3. Choose the backup action.

4. Provide the required inputs and submit the request.

Restore VMs

1. Open the deployment and select a VM.

2. Choose the restore action.

3. Select a backup and time range.

4. Submit the request.

Restore files

1. Select the file-level restore action.

2. Open the browse link.

3. Log on to Commvault.

4. Restore the required files.

Send logs

1. Select the send logs action.

2. Provide client or job details.

3. Submit the request.
