User Administration and Security

You can configure users, user groups, domains, roles, and identity servers.

User Group

Description

Master

The administrator that is created during the installation of the software is automatically a member of this group. You can use the administrator account to set up the environment and perform initial configuration. The administrator has full permissions in the environment, can manage backups and restores, and can access all entities in the environment. The administrator can also create users and add users to the Master group. The users added to the group will have the same permissions as the administrator.

Note

When the master user group already has two members, adding a third user requires dual authorization. One of the existing administrator users must approve the addition before the change is applied, as this user group is also used for dual authorization in entity deletions.

To see the user group details, go to Manage > Security.

Built-in admin account

The built-in admin account is a protected system account.

You cannot perform the following actions on this account:

  • Disable the account

  • Delete the account

  • Modify protected account properties, including full name, description, or aging rules

This restriction is by design to preserve a non-removable administrative account for platform security and recoverability.
