Commvault Cloud Platform Maintenance Window

This document outlines the standard maintenance window for the Commvault platform. Regular maintenance is essential to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of our services.

Maintenance Window

Maintenance windows are scheduled for performing essential system updates, such as:

  • Software patches and upgrades

  • Cloud infrastructure maintenance

  • Database optimizations

  • Security updates

  • Performance tuning

  • Infrastructure upgrades

Important

Maintenance will not impact your backup operations. Upon completion, all the Commvault jobs will resume automatically, ensuring minimal disruption, especially to your backup window. If you identify any disruption to jobs, contact Commvault support.

Schedule

Frequency:

  • Monthly for general product updates and enhancements

  • Weekly for critical updates

Time:

  • 3:00 AM local time

Local time refers to the time zone associated with your individual instance or region. For example, if your instance is provisioned in the US Eastern Time Zone, the maintenance will occur at 3:00 AM Eastern Time. If your instance is in the Central European Time Zone, maintenance will occur at 3:00 AM Central European Time.

Duration

The maintenance window typically completes in approximately 20 minutes. However, the duration may vary depending on the complexity of the maintenance tasks.

Potential Impacts

During the maintenance window, you may experience service unavailability, reduced performance, and intermittent connectivity issues.

Alerts and Notifications

Maintenance times may change due to critical security patches or unexpected issues. We will provide an advance notice of any significant changes to the maintenance schedule on the Commvault platform status page.
