Viewing the HyperScale Storage Pool Dashboard

The HyperScale X Storage Pool dashboard provides a centralized view of storage utilization, workload distribution, hardware health, and capacity trends across all nodes in a HyperScale X storage pool.

Use the dashboard to:

  • Monitor storage consumption and deduplication savings.
  • Track storage pool growth and capacity utilization.
  • Identify hardware issues affecting storage pool health.
  • Review workload and plan distribution.
  • Verify retention settings across the storage pool.

The dashboard helps administrators proactively monitor storage resources and identify potential capacity or hardware issues before they impact operations.

Accessing the Dashboard

The dashboard is available to:

  • CommCell Administrators
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) Administrators

To access the dashboard:

  1. Open the Command Center.
  2. Navigate to Storage > HyperScale X.
  3. Select the storage pool that you want to view.

The HyperScale X Storage Pool dashboard appears.

Dashboard Components

The dashboard contains the following tiles and visualizations that provide information about storage capacity, workload distribution, retention, and hardware health.

Dashboard Components

The following table describes the information available on the HyperScale X Storage Pool dashboard.

Tile Description
Data Storage Displays:

- Total number of nodes in the storage pool
- Deduplication savings percentage
- Total storage capacity
- Used storage capacity
- Available free space

Use this tile to quickly assess storage utilization and overall storage efficiency.
Size Displays the total amount of:

- Protected data
- Reserved capacity
- Free capacity

Use this tile to understand current storage consumption and available capacity.
Plans Displays a pie chart showing the distribution of data across the plans associated with the storage pool.

Use this tile to understand how storage consumption is distributed across plans.
Workloads Displays a pie chart showing data distribution by workload type or agent.

Use this tile to identify which workloads consume the most storage capacity.
Hardware Components Displays the status of hardware components across all nodes in the storage pool, including:

- Disks
- Network interfaces
- Chassis fans
- Power supplies

Use this tile to identify hardware issues that may impact storage pool health or availability.
Retention Displays retention information for data stored in the storage pool.

Use this tile to review retention periods and verify compliance with retention requirements.
Growth Trend Displays monthly storage growth trends.

Use this tile to:

- Monitor storage growth patterns
- Forecast future capacity requirements
- Plan storage pool expansion
