You can use the Commvault software to back up and restore a Cassandra cluster running in docker containers. To do this, install the Commvault Cassandra package on docker hosts that have containers with Cassandra. Each docker host is registered as a client in the CommCell. The discover operation detects the cluster containers based on the CQL port specified in the properties of an instance. Commvault reads data for backups and writes data to containers during restores.
You can run backup and restore of Cassandra clusters where the cluster nodes are the docker containers running on the same docker host. Each Cassandra cluster has nodes coming from multiple docker hosts. You can create multiple such clusters to run backups and restores.
