Viewing the Index Backup Retention Report on the Command Center


Administrators and tenant administrators can view the Index Backup Retention report on the Command Center.

Before You Begin

  • This report does not appear by default in the Command Center. From the Command Center, download and install the Index Backup Retention report from the Commvault Store. For more information, see Downloading a Report from the Commvault Store.


  1. From the navigation pane, click Reports.

    The Reports page appears.

  2. Under Jobs, click Index Backup Retention.

    The Index Backup Retention report appears.

    Note: This report does not show any results by default. To see results, you have to select at least one filter, below.

  3. From the Client list, select a client that is being protected.

  4. Optional: Select or enter the following to further refine results:

    • In the Backupset list, select the backup set that is being protected.

    • In the Subclient list, select the subclient that is being protected.

    • In the Storage Policy list, select the storage policy being used for the backup.

    • In the Storage Policy Copy list, select the copy of the storage policy that is being used for the backup.

    • In the Enter Index Backup Job field, enter an index backup job.

  5. Click Apply.

    The data is displayed according to the options you selected.
