Running Hybrid File Store on HyperScale X Nodes

Updated

You can run Hybrid File Store on HyperScale X (HSX) appliance (HS4300) model nodes.

Note: Hybrid File Store is currently not supported on HyperScale X Reference Architecture nodes.

Before You Begin

Verify that NFS-Ganesha is installed on the HyperScale node.

For HSX appliance nodes, the NFS-Ganesha package is automatically installed when you perform an Operating System upgrade on the node.

If you are not upgrading the operating system, then install the NFS-Ganesha package using one of the following methods:

  • Automatic installation

The CVInstallNetworkServer tool automatically installs the NFS-Ganesha server on the Linux MediaAgent. For more information, see CVInstallNetworkServer Tool.

If you performed this step successfully, then skip the manual installation instructions.

  • Manual installation

On the HyperScale X node, download the NFS-Ganesha 2.8.2 for RHEL 7 version from the Commvault Store, and then follow the directions included in the install.txt file.

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.

    The Infrastructure page appears.
