Adding Additional Backup Content to a Hyper-VM VM Group

For an existing VM group, you can add virtual machines or modify the content selections.

Before You Begin

Review the options for adding rules to discover VMs in Hyper-V.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. On the Hypervisors tab, click the hypervisor.

   The hypervisor page appears.

3. Click an existing VM group.

4. In the Content section, click Manage.

   The VM group content dialog box appears.

5. Add VMs or configure a rule to automatically add new VMs:

   • To add VM group content, click Add virtual machines. On the Add virtual machines page, select the VMs you want to add, and then click OK.

   • To discover VMs automatically, click Add rule, define the rule, and then click Save.

6. To see a list of the VMs that will be backed up, click Preview.

7. Click OK.
