Adding a MediaAgent

For scalability, you can create and install more than one MediaAgent in a CommCell environment. A MediaAgent provides high performance data movement and manages the data storage.

If your environment includes at least one hypervisor that VM provisioning settings are specified for, you can create an access node for a hypervisor. This capability simplifies expanding into a new region for MSPs.

Perform this procedure after the Specifying VM Provisioning Settings for Azure Access Nodes or Specifying VM Provisioning Settings for Amazon Web Services Access Nodes procedure.
