Network

In an MSP environment, the system will not generate a network route from Server 1 in Tenant A to Server 2 in Tenant B, because the servers belong to different tenants. This limitation enhances security for both tenants.

For example, if a cascading network gateway topology is created, and if a tenant server group contains servers from multiple tenants, and if the tenant backup network gateway group contains gateways from multiple tenants, the system will generate a network route from Server 1 of Tenant A to a tenant gateway server of Tenant A only. Server 1 will not generate a network route towards the gateway server of Tenant B.

For more information, see Configuring a Cascading Network Topology for Tenants that Connect Through a Local Gateway.

HyperScale X

When you configure firewall on the HyperScale nodes, the CS registration and data protection interfaces are added to the 'blocked' zone by default. You can also configure the firewall to disallow SSH service on the blocked zone and enable SSH only on the private zone (cv_storage_zone). Rich rules are applied automatically to enable the SSH access between the nodes within the HyperScale cluster on the cv_storage_zone.

Previously, the CS registration and data protection interfaces were added to the 'Public' zone by default and SSH communication was enabled on all the nodes in the public and private zone.
