The drive cleaning process mounts the cleaning tape and cleans the drive. In addition, this operation also resets the counters that keep track of the number of drive events that have occurred since the drive was cleaned.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Storage >Tape.
The Tape page appears.

Click the tape_storage for which the drive has to be validated.
The tape_storage page appears.

Under the Drives section, for the associated drive that has to be cleaned, click the Actions button
and then click Clean. -
Click Yes in the Confirm clean drive prompt.
