Configuring a FREL for an Amazon EC2 Hypervisor

You can configure a file recovery enabler for Linux (FREL) for an Amazon EC2 hypervisor. A FREL acts as a MediaAgent to write Linux file system backup data to storage or to read backup data from storage.

Before You Begin

A FREL must be deployed in your environment.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. On the Hypervisors tab, click the hypervisor.

   The hypervisor page appears.

3. On the Configuration tab, in the Settings section, beside File recovery enabler for Linux, click Edit.

   The Edit file recovery dialog box appears.

4. From the list, select the FREL.

5. Click Save.
