Creating a Volume Filter for Amazon Web Services VM Groups

To exclude specific instance volumes from backup operations, you can create a volume filter.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. On the VM groups tab, click the VM group.

   The VM group properties page appears.

3. In the Content section, click Manage.

   The VM group content dialog box appears.

4. On the Volume Filters tab, click Add rule.

   The Add volume filter dialog box appears.

5. Specify settings for the filter, and then click OK. For more information and examples, see Add Volume Filter Options.

6. Click OK.
