After you remove a tape from a tape storage using a media export operation, pending actions provide a record of what happens to the tape.
Pending actions are as follows:

Abort: Cancels the pending action.

Picked Up: Sets the media location as In Transit, when the source is a location. For a tape storage, this action is performed automatically when the media is removed from the source storage target.

Reached Destination: Indicates that the media reached its destination. The pending action is considered complete.
