Perform a Test Backup and Restore for Amazon Web Services

To verify that the AWS instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. For the instance that you want to back up, click the action button , and then click Back up.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. For the instance that you want to restore, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Select restore type page appears.

3. Click Full instance.

   The Restore page appears.

4. Select the content to restore, and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

5. Beside Type, select In place.

6. In the Access Node list, leave Automatic selected.

7. Click Submit.
