Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the Azure Files Repository

To verify that the Azure Files repository is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Repository

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Object storage.

   The Object storage page appears.

2. In the Name column, click the repository.

   The object storage repository page appears.

3. Click the content group.

   The content group page appears.

4. In the upper-right area of the page, click Back up.

   The Select Backup Level dialog box appears.

5. Select Full.

6. Click OK.

Restore the Repository

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Object storage.

   The Object storage page appears.

2. In the Object storage table, right-click the repository, and then click Restore.

   The Backup content page appears.

3. Select the backup, and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

4. On the In place tab, specify the following information:

   • In No of streams, enter the number of streams to use for the restore.

   • Select Overwrite files unconditionally.

5. Click Submit.
