Performing IBM i File System Backups

Back up your IBM i file system data.


  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File Servers.

    The File Servers page appears.

  2. Click the IBM_i_server.

    The IBM_i_server page appears.

  3. Under Subclients, in the Actions column for the subclient, click the action button action_button, and then click Back up.

    The Select backup level dialog box appears.

  4. For Backup level, select the backup type.

  5. Click OK.

    The Backup options dialog box appears.

  6. Optional: View the job details. Click the job ID.

  7. Click OK.
