Preinstallation Checklist for Remote Office Appliance RO1200

Complete the following checklist before setting up the Remote Office Appliance RO1200.

Fully Qualified Domain Name or Host name *	The default hostname of the appliance. The host name must be fully resolvable and addressable by the CommServe server and client computers in the CommCell environment.
IP address Subnet mask Default gateway	By default this information is automatically added using DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). If you disable the option to automatically obtain the IPv4 address, you must provide the following information: Static IP address Subnet mask Default gateway
DNS Server	By default this information is automatically added using DHCP. If you disable the option to automatically obtain the DNS Server address, you must provide the following information: Preferred DNS server Alternate DNS server
Domain Name (Optional)	To add the appliance to an existing domain, specify the domain name.
Domain Username and password (Optional)	User credentials required to add the appliance to an existing domain.
Mail server (Optional)	If the CommServe server is installed in the appliance, you can send alerts for events in the CommCell. You can also configure the e-mail server after configuring the appliance.
E-mail address (Optional)	E-mail address of the recipient of e-mail alerts.
License Requirement	If you are setting up the appliance with a MediaAgent, you will require the necessary MediaAgent license. Contact Commvault Support to obtain the necessary licenses
