Preparing the Environment HyperScale X Appliance Setup

Preparing the environment for HyperScale X Appliance deployment is the next important step.

Procedure

1. Setup the DNS.

2. Setup the switches.

3. Setup a static IP For Intelligent Platform Management Interface.

4. Check the HyperScale software version on the appliance to ensure that you have the most recent version.

5. OPTIONAl: Plan for deployments with more than 12 nodes if your initial deployment consists of 12 or more nodes.

6. OPTIONAL: If you are connecting to an existing CommServe server:

   • Check the CommServe server version.

   • Connect to a CommServe server behind a firewall if the CommServe server is located behind a firewall.
