Adding the HBase App to an Existing Hadoop Instance

You can add the HBase App to an existing Hadoop instance from the CommCell Console.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > pseudoclient > Big Data Apps.

  2. Right-click the instance to which you want to add the HBase App, and then click Properties.

    The Instance Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the Hadoop Apps tab, click Add.

  4. Click HBase.

    The Configure Hadoop Apps dialog box appears.

  5. Configure the HBase App properties:

    1. From the HBase Node list, select the HBase node.

    2. If a non-root user account is used to manage the Hadoop cluster, in the HBase User box, type the HBase user name.

    3. In the Java Path box, enter the Java path (JAVA_HOME/bin).

      For example, enter /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.45.x86_64/bin.

    4. In the Backup Root box, type the HBase backup root path.

      For example, type /hbase_bkuproot.

  6. Click OK.
