Adding a Remote Client

You can add one or more clients from a remote CommCell.

Before You Begin

Register the remote CommCell. The remote CommServe computer must be in the same version as the local CommServe computer.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, right-click Client Computers, and then click New Client > Others > Remote Client.

  2. On the Add Remote Client page, from the Select CommCell list, select the appropriate CommServe name.

  3. On the Choose Remote Client page, select the appropriate client and click Include.

  4. Click Finish.

Result

The remote client computer is displayed as a deconfigured client under Client Computers and Client Computer Groups.

You can reconfigure the remote client by right-clicking the client and clicking All Tasks > Reconfigure.
