Use this dialog box to browse the vCenter and select subclient content or define subclient filters. This dialog box provides hierarchical views of vCenter server that are similar to the vCenter inventory. Select one of the following options to browse the vCenter server:
Hosts and Clusters
Select this option to get the hierarchical view of hosts, clusters, and their child objects. Expand any object to view its child objects.
Select any object to include the object into the subclient or to define filters. When you select any object, all of its child objects are automatically selected or filtered.
VMs and Templates
Select this option to view the list of all virtual machines and templates in the vCenter inventory. Expand a host or cluster to view all virtual machines and templates in it. Select any virtual machine or template to include it in the subclient or filter it from the subclient.
Datastores and Datastore Clusters
Select this option to view the list of all datastores and datastore clusters in the vCenter inventory.
Select any datastore or datastore cluster to include it in the subclient or filter it from the subclient.
Note
If a virtual machine has only one disk in the selected datastore and remaining disks and VMX files are located on other datastores, the virtual machine will be added to the subclient.
Tags and Categories
Select a tag or category to identify all virtual machines under VMware entities that are marked with the tag or category.
