Browsing the Content of the Replica Copy

To browse the content of the snapshot on the replica copy, change the copy precedence of the replica copy.

Before You Begin

If the automatic auxiliary copy operation didn't run yet, you must run the auxiliary copy operation to copy the snapshot metadata to the replica copy. See Copying the Snapshot Metadata to the Replica Copy.

You must associate subclients with the storage policy that contains the replica copy. If you haven't associated any subclient with the storage policy that contains the replica copy, then the list of Storage Policy Copy does not display the replica copy.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > agent > defaultBackupSet or Client Computers > client > agent > defaultBackupSet > subclient.

2. Right-click the defaultBackupSet or the subclient, point to All Tasks, and then click Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

3. On the Advanced Options tab, select the Browse from copy precedence check box, and then click the up and down arrows to change the copy number.

   The list of the Storage Policy and the Storage Policy Copy is updated. The Storage Policy Copy must display the replica copy.

4. Click View Content.
