Configuring the Network Settings for the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) Components

Important

The ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) is a component that is installed when you install the Exchange package. After you install the Exchange package, you set up the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP).

In this topic:

  • Statements about installing the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) refer to the process of installing the Exchange package, and then setting up the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP).

  • Statements about the computer where the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) is installed refer to the computer where the Exchange package is installed.

Configure the network settings for each component.

Procedure

  1. Configure the connection from the CommServe computer to the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

    2. Right-click the CommServe computer, and then click Properties.

      The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

    3. Click Network.

      The Network Properties dialog box appears.

    4. Select the Configure Network Route Settings check box.

    5. On the Incoming Connections subtab, click Add.

      The Connections to dialog box appears.

    6. From the From list, select the name of the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    7. From the State list, select BLOCKED.

    8. Click OK.

  2. Configure the connection from the Web Server to the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

    2. Right-click the Web Server computer, and then click Properties.

      The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

    3. Click Network.

      The Network Properties dialog box appears.

    4. Select the Configure Network Route Settings check box.

    5. On the Incoming Connections subtab, click Add.

      The Connections to dialog box appears.

    6. From the From list, select the name of the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    7. From the State list, select BLOCKED.

    8. Click OK.

  3. Configure the connection from the MediaAgent to the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

    2. Right-click the MediaAgent, and then click Properties.

      The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

    3. Click Network.

      The Network Properties dialog box appears.

    4. Select the Configure Network Route Settings check box.

    5. On the Incoming Connections subtab, click Add.

      The Connections to dialog box appears.

    6. From the From list, select the name of the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer.

    7. From the State list, select BLOCKED.

    8. Click OK.

  4. Configure the connection from the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer to the components on the computer in the internal network.

    1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

    2. Right-click the ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) computer, and then click Properties.

      The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

    3. Click Network.

      The Network Properties dialog box appears.

    4. Select the Configure Network Route Settings check box.

    5. On the Incoming Connections subtab, click Add.

      The Connections to dialog box appears.

    6. From the From list, select the name of the CommServe computer.

    7. From the State list, select RESTRICTED.

    8. From the From list, select the name of the Web Server computer.

    9. From the State list, select RESTRICTED.

    10. From the From list, select the name of the MediaAgent.

    11. From the State list, select RESTRICTED.

    12. Click the Incoming Ports subtab and make sure that the value in Override default tunnel port is 8403.

    13. Click OK.
