When you download the Commvault software, the system bundles the necessary files into an installation package that consists of agents, server packages, and tools, as well as updates from the current feature release. The installation package allows you to install Commvault software and tools on computers and agents, and install feature release updates on computers that already have the Commvault software installed.
You can download the Commvault software by using the following methods:
-
Download the Commvault software using the Download Manager. Use this method if you want to run installations or upgrades from an installation package. Download Manager creates the installation package, which you can then copy to a DVD, to a network share, or to the CommServe cache.
-
Download the Commvault software using the CommCell Console. Use this method if you want to run installations or upgrades from the CommCell Console.
-
Download the Commvault software from the AWS or Azure marketplace. Use this method if you want to deploy Commvault in public cloud environments.
You can also download Download Manager or other software packages (for example, 1-Touch software for Linux and FreeBSD) from the Cloud Services website or the Maintenance Advantage website. See Downloading Other Software and Packages.
