Enforcing the Use of SHA256 Digest for Certificates

To enforce the use of the SHA256 digest for certificates, you must add the nForceSHA256 additional setting to the CommServe computer and then set the value to 1.

SHA-256 generates an almost-unique 256-bit (32-byte) signature for a text or data file.

Procedure

• To the CommServe computer, add the nForceSHA256 additional setting as shown in the following table.
