In the event of a disaster, you can recover the full system by using either 1-Touch Recovery or a System State Restores.
1-Touch Recovery
Use 1-Touch to easily and quickly recover a computer that cannot boot into its operating system, or have a working computer move to a different location. The source computer as well as the destination computer can be a physical machine or a virtual machine. The destination computer may have same hardware or different hardware from source computer. If the computer being created is a virtual machine on a supported hypervisor or cloud platform, Virtualize Me feature automates the process of creating the virtual machine as well.

System State Restores
If 1-Touch is not feasible in your environment, then System State Restores (SSR) may be used. This involves manually installing the Operating System on to a computer. It is strongly recommended to ensure that the patch level of the installed OS matches with that of the backup image, as otherwise, the restored system may not boot. Also, the volume layout on the manually installed computer should match with the backup image. On the manually installed computer, Commvaultsoftware needs to be installed for the recovery procedure to begin. By default, the Commvault files and registry entries are excluded from the recovery operation.
