Locating the Client Name

In the software management consoles, clients are labeled using their display names. However, the software uses the uniquely identifying client name when performing data operations. Therefore, when a client name is needed for command line, REST API, or other operations, you must use the client name. You can obtain the client name from the client computer properties in the CommCell Console.

Procedure

1. In the CommCell Browser, open Client Computers.

2. Right-click the name of the client.

   Note

   The name that appears in the CommCell Browser is the display name, not the client name.

3. In the Client Computer Properties dialog box, in the General tab under Client Name, use the value in the Name field.
