If your laptop is missing, report the laptop missing. When your laptop is reported missing, an authorized user passkey is required to open any locked file.
Caution
If your laptop is missing and you are unable to access the Web Console, contact your administrator immediately.
Procedure

Log on to the Web Console.
The My Applications page appears.

Click My Data.
The Computers page appears.

Click Settings for the laptop that you want to mark as lost.
The laptop properties page appears.

In the Last Seen Location section, click Mark Device Lost.

Type the confirmation message, and then click Yes.
The Mark Device Found and Erase Content buttons appear.

If you recover your laptop at a later time, click Mark Device Found.
