Setting Up Email Alert Notifications

Email alerts can be sent to their intended recipients by selecting Email as the notification type. You can configure email alerts for CommCell users, external domain users, and recipients outside of the CommCell environment. However, external domain users receive email alerts only if they have previously logged on to the CommCell environment. CommCell users receive email alerts irrespective of their log on status.

If the mail server is down, the system attempts to send the email alert notification for the next four hours. After four hours if the mail server is still down, these alerts are removed from the system and are not sent to the recipient.

An email notification can contain up to 100 alerts.
