By default, a backup of a virtual disk for a virtual machine skips Windows page files or swaps Linux partitions, but you can disable this feature.
This feature is controlled by the bSkipPageFileExtent additional setting, which is set to true by default. To turn off this feature and include the pages or partitions in Hyper-V backups, configure the setting to false.
Procedure

To disable this feature, on the proxy that has the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) installed, set the bSkipPageFileExtent additional setting to false.
