You can specify the number of streams available to perform backup or restore operations for all the subclients which use the storage policy. The number of data streams is the same for all the copies in the storage policy. You cannot change the number of data streams for individual copies.
You can change the number of streams only if backup data is not associated with the storage policy.
If a subclient associated with a storage policy is configured to use multiple streams, the number of streams for the storage policy must be greater than or equal to number of streams that is defined for the subclient.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies | Storage Policies.

Right-click the appropriate storage policy, and then click Properties.

In the Device Streams box, type the number of available streams.

Click OK.
