Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the Informix

To verify that the Informix database is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Database

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. In the row for the database instance to backup, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Select backup level dialog box appears.

3. Click OK.

Restore the Database

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. In the row for the database instance to restore, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content page appears.

3. Click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

4. From the Destination Client box, select a client to restore the instance to.

5. From the Destination Instance box, select a instance.

6. Click Submit.
