Create the replica copy for the replication feature.
Before You Begin
To create a replica copy, you need a storage policy with a snapshot primary copy. See Creating a Storage Policy and a Snapshot Primary Copy.
Use a disk library for the snapshot copy target. For more information about disk libraries, see Disk Libraries.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Storage Policies.

Right-click the storage policy, point to All Tasks, and then click Create New Snapshot Copy.
The Create New Snapshot Copy - Copy Details dialog box appears.

In the Copy Name box, type a name.

In the Array Replication area, select Vault/Replica.

For Storage Pools, do one of the following:

From the Storage Pool list, select a storage pool.

To add a storage pool, click Add, and then follow the wizard for storage pools.

(Optional) In the Description box, enter a description for the copy.

Click Next.
The Create New Snapshot Copy - Retention Rules dialog box appears.

Select one of the following Retention options:
-
Infinite: If you plan to retain the data in the copy for an infinite amount of time.

Retain by n jobs: If you plan to retain data in the copy based on a specific number of jobs.

Retain for n days n cycles: If you plan to retain the data in the copy for a specific length of retention period and number of retention cycles. (Retention cycles will not apply to agents that do not have cycles).

Optional: To inherit the retention settings of manually pinned jobs in the source copy, select Inherit job retention from source copy.

Click Next.
The Create New Storage Policy Copy - Copy Policy page appears.

Select one or more of the following Copy Policy options, and then click Next:

Selective Copy: If you plan to copy only full backups from the primary to the secondary copy.

Backups On and After: If you plan to copy only the backup data after the specified date from the primary copy to the secondary copy.

Specify Source for Array Replica Copy: If you plan to use a copy that will be used in the place of a primary copy during the replica copy operation.
The Create New Storage Policy Copy - Snap Configuration page appears. This page is not applicable for this array.

Click Finish.
