Enabling NDMP on a NetApp File Server

To perform a full system recovery of NAS data, enable NDMP on the file server.

Procedure

1. Use the original NAS file server, or use a new NAS file server:

   • To use the original NAS file server, rebuild the file server.

   • To use a new NAS file server, do the following:

     • Configure a new NAS file server. Refer to the hardware vendor documentation for instructions.

     • Add a new NAS client.

2. On the NAS file server, enable NDMP. Refer to the hardware vendor documentation for instructions.
