Getting Started with Automation

Automation is a feature that allows you to run automated test cases from the Commvault interface. Automation requires an installation of Workflow and Test Automation packages.

Before You Begin

• Ensure that your computer is connected to the internet.

• If your computer is not connected to the internet, then you can run automated test cases by installing the Python v3.6.6 Third Party Bundle for Automation on the computer.

Step 1: Install Test Automation

• Perform the Installation

  Choose the installation procedure that applies to the operating system of your computer:

  • Installing Commvault on Windows Computers Using the Installation Package

  • Installing Commvault on UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh Computers Using the Installation Package

The Test Automation framework is installed in the following location on the client machine: <installation path>\Automation.
