Modifying the Properties of the Deduplication Database Subclient

You can change the properties of the deduplication database (DDB) subclient.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > DDB MediaAgent client > File System > defaultBackupSet.

2. Right-click DDBBackup subclient, and click Properties.

3. In the Subclient Properties for DDBBackup dialog box, choose how you want to modify the DDB backup subclient settings:

   1. On the General tab, modify general information, such as:

      • Subclient name

      • Drive that hosts the DDB drive snapshot that was created through VSS Copy-on-Write (COW) during DDB backups

      • Number of data readers

   2. On the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy list, select a storage policy.

4. Click OK.
