The Virtualization guided setup guides you through creating a server plan, adding a hypervisor, and adding a VM group.
Before You Begin
Complete the Core Setup Wizard.
Review the information in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: System Requirements.
Identify the Oracle Cloud Identifier (OCID) for the tenant and for the admin user for the hypervisor.
Add required permissions for the OCID tenant and user.
Obtain the private key, password, and fingerprint for the private key, and copy the private key to the VSA proxy instance: base_folder\certificates\external\ folder for Windows proxies, or base_folder/certificates/external/ folder for Linux proxies.
For more information, see the following pages in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure documentation:
Install the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) on at least one Oracle Cloud Infrastructure instance. You can install the VSA on other machines to create additional VSA proxies. At least one VSA proxy is needed.
For more information, see VSA Proxies and File Recovery Enablers for Linux.
If the setup page is not displayed, from the navigation pane, click Guided setup.
After you complete the core setup, on the Protect tab, click the Virtualization tile.
On the Create server backup plan page, type a name for the plan, then provide information about storage, retention, and backup schedules. For more information, see Creating a Server Plan.
If you configured a server backup plan as part of the Core Setup, the wizard skips this page.
The Add hypervisor page appears.
