Add the Qumulo file server for CIFS.
Before You Begin
Ensure that your access node meets hardware specifications to back up the CIFS shares. For more information, see Hardware Specifications for Access Nodes.
From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.
The File servers page appears.
In the upper-right area of the page, click Add server.
The Add server dialog box appears.
Click Qumulo file storage.
The Add Qumulo file storage dialog box appears.
In the Name box, enter a name for the server.
In the Qumulo cluster box, enter the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the host.
For Qumulo account, enter credentials or use saved credentials—for a local Qumulo cluster user.
For permissions that the Qumulo cluster user must have, see Permissions for Qumulo File Storage.
From the Plan list, select the server plan to use for the server.
Move the CIFS toggle key to the right.
From the Access nodes list, select the access nodes to use for the server.
All the access nodes that you select must have the same feature release.
To specify the credentials that are used to access the data, for CIFS credentials, click Edit, and then enter the credentials.
To modify the content that is backed up by the default subclient, for Backup Content, click Edit, and then select the content.
The path name is case sensitive. You can perform a browse operation to select content.
By default, the default subclient backs up all the content.
You can use wildcards to define the subclient content, exclusions, and exceptions. For more information, see Wildcards for Windows File System Subclients.

When you add a file server, a default subclient is automatically created. You can create more subclients for data that has different backup requirements. For more information, see Adding a CIFS Subclient for a Qumulo File Server.
