Converting Kubernetes Backups to Live Volume Backup When Volumesnapshots Snaphot Fails or When Volumesnapshots Snaphot Fails to Change to readyToUse:True State

Use this setting to fall back to live volume backups when the creation of a volumesnapshots snapshot fails or when the state of a volumesnapshots snapshot fails to change to the readyToUse:true state.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > System.

  2. Click the Settings tile.

    The Settings page appears.

  3. Click Add, and then select Entity settings.

    The Add entity settings dialog box appears.

  4. In the Name box, enter bK8sSnapFallBackLiveBkp.

  5. From the Entity list, select the Kubernetes access nodes.

    You can select individual access nodes or to server groups.

  6. In the Category box, enter VirtualServer.

  7. From the Type list, select Boolean.

  8. In the Value box, enter True.

  9. In the Comment box, enter an explanation for the change.

  10. Click Save.

Results

The change affects all new backups that use the access nodes.
