To convert storage policies to server plans, you first run the Policy to Plan Migration application.
Procedure

Import the Policy to Plan Conversion application from the Commvault Store using the cvstoreapp package.

Run the Policy to Plan Migration application.

Click Server Plan.
The Server Plan box expands.

Click the link in the Click here to proceed text.
The Plan Conversion - Status window appears.

Under Step 1, click the link in the Click here to proceed text.

For the storage policies selection, perform one of the following steps:

To select individual storage policies, on the List of Storage Policies eligible for plan conversion window, select the storage policies.

To select all the storage policies:

On the List of Storage Policies eligible for plan conversion window, select StoragePolicy Name check box, and then click Next.
The List of Storage policies ineligible for plan conversion window appears, with a list of storage policies that are not eligible for conversion to server plans.
Note
The number of associated subclients that is displayed for a storage policy excludes the subclients that are deconfigured or uninstalled.

Click Next.
The Schedule policies to be disabled as part of plan creation window appears, with a list of schedule policies that will be disabled after conversion.

Click Submit.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

Click OK.

Verify that the storage policies are successfully converted to server plans.
After the conversion process completes, you will get a confirmation email. You can also verify the job progress from the list of active jobs. For instructions, see Viewing Jobs.
